greeting cards done differently

Graphic designer Olga Kirgman has put out a colourful, well designed and non-traditional line of greeting cards. There is a certain level of snappiness as the cards have a good measure of four letter words. Nothing wrong with that. See the full line of cards here.

She is also the host of her own “justice” show on CNN Headline News, where she seems to focus her attention on missing white girls. challenging camouflage clothing

Mark Dery, in the November 2006 issue of ID Magazine, considers that given the situation in Iraq, shouldn’t the designers and wearers of camouflage clothing have a conscience and avoid these patterns.
But isn’t there a moment when the horrors of war become so grisly that even the most apolitical designer riding the camo wave should […]

good ugly betty, good

Even if that doesn’t happen, the success of “Ugly Betty” is heartening, not just because the show is a touching dramedy with a starmaking performance by America Ferrera at its center. It’s also a thrill because the show is chock-full of things that just aren’t done on TV - or usually aren’t done […]

“It’s a new science, driven by the fact that everybody doing climate predictions says that clouds are perhaps the single greatest unknown factor in understanding global warming.”
