Itatalian styling house Giugiaro’s styling director Fabrizio Giugiaro took one look at the latest generation of the Ford Mustang and wanted to put his touch on it. The end result, pictured, is a (hopefully not) one-off design conecpt based on the current Mustang. Aside from the gorgeous design and sleek lines, the Giugiaro Mustang looks like it could stand in as the launchpad for the next-generation Mustang’s design. Let’s hope that Ford runs with the tight lines and angles for the 2010 Mustang.

Inside the concept is a riot. The gauges burn with a retro orange glow, while the seats are upholstered in horsehides–a sort of macabre, humorous touch on the Mustang name. The entire cockpit is lit naturally by a huge panel of glass. The roof, made by Detroit supplier Solutia, filters all UV rays from the sun and gives a panoramic view up and out of the Mustang concept.
